Return, Exchange & Warranty Policy
This policy is governed by the applicable provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, Government of India.
A. Exchange Policy (Defective Products Only)
In accordance with Indian consumer law:
- Exchange is permitted only in cases of manufacturing defects or transit damage.
- The defect must be reported within 7 days from date of delivery.
- The customer must provide proof of defect (images/video and invoice).
- The product must be unused, unaltered, and returned in original packaging.
Avi’s Opticians reserves the right to conduct inspection before approving the exchange.
Return shipping for approved defective products will be borne by Avi’s Opticians.
B. Non-Returnable Items
The following are not eligible for return/exchange unless defective:
- Prescription lenses (custom-made goods)
- Customized eyewear
- Products damaged due to misuse, negligence, or accident
- Normal wear and tear
(Custom-made products are exempt from return under Indian consumer law unless defective.)
C. Refunds
- Refunds are not applicable for non-defective products.
- In case of approved refund, the amount will be credited to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.
D. Manufacturer Warranty
- All eligible products carry a 1-year manufacturer warranty.
- Warranty claims are subject to manufacturer evaluation.
- Warranty excludes accidental damage, scratches, chemical exposure, improper handling, and unauthorized repairs.
Avi’s Opticians acts as an authorized seller and facilitator for warranty processing.
For disputes, jurisdiction shall lie within Goa, India.
